Antique Fireplace Tile Floral Majolica Brick Effect Design Alfred Meakin C1905
• Style: Art Nouveau• Technique: Majolica• Manufacturer: Alfred Meakin• Dimensions: 6" x 6″• Date: C1905
The tile is part of my collection, and there is only one available.
This is a beautiful embossed majolica tile featuring a unique brick effect floral design made by Alfred Meakin around 1905.
It is in good condition for its age with a chip in a corner, other tiny chips around the edges, crazing in the glaze and surface marks.
The tile measures 6" x 6" square.
It comes in the original condition as found and sold as seen.
These types of tiles besides their value as rare collectible items, they are also viable to be used for architecture like restoration of an old fireplace, placed as an replacement for a tile from the wall, or just framed and hanged on a wall for decoration.
