Art Nouveau Fireplace Tile Blue Floral Majolica by Alfred Meakin Ltd C1903

This is a very rare embossed majolica tile with an unusual floral design, made by Alfred Meakin Ltd around 1903.
It has been registered for 04-06-1903, with the number 411150.

It is in very good condition for its age, with a few tiny chips around the edges and surface marks.
It has two corners trimmed for the original fitting.

The tile measures 6" x 6".

The tile comes from the Roger Hensman Tile Collection, and has the number D.97. If you want to know more about this tile you can contact TACS (Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society), give them the reference number, and they can offer more information about it.
