Set of 3 Antique Fireplace Tiles Green Floral Majolica Alfred Meakin C1900
This is a beautiful set of three embossed majolica tiles with a floral design on a dark green background, made by Alfred Meakin Ltd around 1900.
The tiles are part of a panel, and their pattern number is 454.
The tiles are in good condition with surface marks, a few stains and some small chips around the edges.
One tile has two large chips filled with glazing on one side.
Each measures 6" x 6" (15 cm x 15 cm).
They come in the original condition as found and sold as seen.
These types of tiles besides their value as rare collectible items, they are also viable to be used for architecture like restoration of an old fireplace, placed as an replacement for a tile from the wall, or just framed and hanged on a wall for decoration.
