Antique Fireplace Majolica Tile Minton's Poppy Flowers

Up for sale is this beautiful tile made by Minton and dates from C1896.

The tile is in near-perfect condition, with very few nibbles on the edge and light surface marks.

It has embossed Mintons, registration and pattern numbers on the verso.
The tile is moulded majolica, a ceramic material known for its bright, glossy glaze.

Measures 6" x 6".

People often used this tile to decorate fireplace surrounds and other areas in homes and
buildings. They are now highly sought after by collectors for their beauty and historical value.
