The tile is part of my collection, and there are two available.
This is a beautifully crafted, embossed majolica tile with an Anglo-Japanese style floral and fan design made by Henry Richards and registered in 1903.
The tile has crazing in the glaze, surface marks, small chips around the edges and light stains.
It measures 6" x 6" square.
These types of tiles, besides their value as rare collectable items, are also viable for use in architecture, such as the restoration of an old fireplace, as a replacement for a tile on the wall, or framed and hung on a wall for decoration.
