Antique Fireplace Tile Floral Majolica Brown Glaze by William Godwin C1870

This is a very beautiful majolica tile with a unique floral design in brown glaze, made by William Godwin around 1870.
The tile has a few tiny chips around the edge and light surface marks.

It was impossible for me to find another example like this one.

It measures 6" x 6" square.

The tile comes from the Roger Hensman Tile Collection, and has the number C.282. If you want to know more about this tile you can contact TACS (Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society), give them the reference number, and they can offer more information about it.
