Antique Fireplace Tile Green Floral Majolica T & R Boote Ltd C1906
This is a very beautiful embossed majolica tile with an unusual floral design on a light green background, made by T & R Boote Ltd around 1906.
It is in good condition with some surface marks, crazing in the glaze and small chips around the edges as well as two corners trimmed for the original fitting.
It measures 6" x 6" square.
It comes in the original condition as found and sold as seen.
These types of tiles besides their value as rare collectible items, they are also viable to be used for architecture like restoration of an old fireplace, placed as an replacement for a tile from the wall, or just framed and hanged on a wall for decoration.
