Antique Fireplace Tile High Relief Moulded Floral Majolica By Carter & Co C190
This is a very high relief moulded majolica tile with a unique floral design, made by Carter & Co around 1900.
The tile is in good condition for its age, with chips around the edges.
It was impossible to find another example like this, which makes me believe it's a very rare tile.
It measures almost 6" x 6" (14.6cm x 14.6cm).
The tile comes from the Roger Hensman Tile Collection, and has the number D.207. If you want to know more about this tile you can contact TACS (Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society), give them the reference number, and they can offer more information about it.
