Up for sale is this antique fireplace block printed tile.

This tile is originally manufactured by MINTON & CO. TILE WORKS Stoke On Trent.

A W N Pugin designed the tile for Mintons.

Most likely made around 1880-1900.

The tile is near-perfect, with very few nibbles and light surface marks on the edge.

It has embossed Mintons on the verso.

Measures 6" x 6".

People often used these tiles to decorate fireplace surrounds and other areas in homes and buildings. They are now highly sought after by collectors for their beauty and historical value.
