Antique Fireplace Tile Relief Moulded Floral Majolica William Godwin C1890

This is a superb and very rare relief moulded majolica tile with a floral design, made by William Godwin around 1890.
The tile is in good condition for its age, with a few chips on the surface and one in a corner.

It was impossible for me to find another example like this one.

It measures 6" x 6" square.

The tile comes from the Roger Hensman Tile Collection, and has the number D.526. If you want to know more about this tile you can contact TACS (Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society), give them the reference number, and they can offer more information about it.
