This is an extremely stunning and very rare embossed majolica tile with an amazing floral design, made by Minton Hollins & Co around 1880.This tile is a must have for your collection.
It was impossible for me to find another example like this.The tile is in very good condition for its age, with tiny chips around the edges and surface marks.
It measures 8" x 8" square.
The tile comes from the Roger Hensman Tile Collection, and has the number G.74. If you want to know more about this tile you can contact TACS (Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society), give them the reference number, and they can offer more information about it.
