This tile is part of my collection, and there is only one available.
This is a beautiful embossed majolica tile with a floral quartered design with unusual colours, possible maker Minton Hollins & Co made around 1900.
It was impossible for me to find another example like this.It is in near-perfect condition for its age, with small chips around the edge and surface marks.
It measures 6" x 6" square.
This tile has a reference number D. 536 on the back.It comes from the Roger Hensman Tile Collection. If you want to know more about it, you can contact TACS (Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society), give them the reference number, and they can offer more information about the provenance and maker, together with the date Roger Hensman purchased the tile.
