This is a beautiful embossed majolica tile with a unique asymmetrical star-shaped floral design, made by Henry Richards around 1902.
It has the registration number 393723 which dates back to 1902.
It is in good condition for its age with a chipped corner, other small chips around the edges and surface marks.
It measures 6" x 6" square.
It comes in the original condition as found and sold as seen.
These types of tiles besides their value as rare collectible items, they are also viable to be used for architecture like restoration of an old fireplace, placed as an replacement for a tile from the wall, or just framed and hanged on a wall for decoration.
