Art Nouveau Fireplace Tile High Relief Moulded Floral Majolica C1890

This is a superb very high relief moulded majolica tile with a big thistle flower design, unknown maker made around 1890.
The tile is in near-perfect condition for its age, with tiny chips around the edges and surface marks.

It measures 6" x 6" square.

The tile comes from the Roger Hensman Tile Collection, and has the number D.100. If you want to know more about this tile you can contact TACS (Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society), give them the reference number, and they can offer more information about it.
