Art Nouveau Fireplace Tile Majolica Jewels Design H & R Johnson C1908
This is a beautiful moulded majolica tile with a jewel garland design on a cream background, made by H & R Johnson around 1908.
The tile has the registration number 530957, which dates back to 01/10/1908.
It is in good condition for its age, with surface marks like scratches and crazing in the glaze, with a few tiny chips on the edges.
It measures 6" x 6" square.
It comes in the original condition as found and sold as seen.
These types of tiles, besides their value as rare collectable items, are also suitable for architecture, such as restoring an old fireplace, replacing a tile from the wall, or framing and hanging on a wall for decoration.
