Art Nouveau Fireplace Tile Red Lustre Christmas Cacti Design by Maw & Co C1880

This is a very beautiful and rare red lustre tile with a beautiful christmas cacti design on a white background, made by Maw & Co around 1880.

It was impossible for me to find another example like this
It is in very good condition for its age, with tiny chips around the edges and surface marks.

It measures 6" x 6" square.

The tile comes from the Roger Hensman Tile Collection, and has the number B.616. If you want to know more about this tile you can contact TACS (Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society), give them the reference number, and they can offer more information about it.
