The tile is part of my collection, and there is only one available.
This is a great high-relief moulded majolica tile featuring a unique floral design created by Sherwin & Cotton around 1900.
The tile is in good condition for its age, with light crazing in the glaze and surface marks.
It measures 6” x 6” square.
These types of tiles, besides their value as rare collectable items, are also viable for use in architecture, such as the restoration of an old fireplace, placed as a replacement for a tile from the wall, or just framed and hung on a wall for decoration.
