Art Nouveau Tube-lined Tile Belgium Céramiques Gilliot & Cie Hemiksem C1900

This factory was founded in 1897.
The tile was made around 1897 to 1919, relatively late for a tile with Art Nouveau decoration.

The decoration is applied in relief utilising the dust-pressed technique.

The tile is in good condition, with just a few nibbles around the edge and some surface marks.
The tile is marked on the back with the abbreviation of the manufacturer’s name.

It measures about 15cm x 15cm.
