This is a beautiful and rare hand-painted tile with a dragon design, made by Craven Dunnill around 1900.
This is a beautiful and rare hand-painted and glazed tile with a floral design, made by Craven Dunnill around 1900.
It was impossible for me to find another example like this
It is in good condition for its age, with tiny chips around the edge and surface marks.
It measures 6" x 6" square.
The tile comes from the Roger Hensman Tile Collection, and has the number B.675. If you want to know more about this tile you can contact TACS (Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society), give them the reference number, and they can offer more information about it.
