Arts & Crafts Minton Tile Blue Block Printed Elfin Series C1875
Up for sale is this superb and rare-to-find antique Minton tile.
One of twelve "Elfins", Marked Minton China Works Stoke on Trent.
This example in particular has a very rare colour that I wasn't able to find more of.
The tile is 6 x 6 inches square and has a 1cm thickness.
The tile has a side half-trimmed, chips around the edges and surface marks
A very rare tile to be found. It will complement any tile collection.
The tile comes from the Roger Hensman Tile Collection, and has the number A.239. If you want to know more about this tile you can contact TACS (Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society), give them the reference number, and they can offer more information about it.
