This is a very beautiful transfer-printed tile from the series "Village Life", made by William Wise for Mintons China Works around 1882.
It is in very good condition for its age, with a few tiny chips around the edges and light surface marks.
It measures 6" x 6" square (15 cm x 15 cm).
