Arts & Crafts Steele & Wood Transfer Printed Tile 8" C1880

This is a gorgeous and extremely rare transfer printed tile, made by Steele & Wood around 1880.
The tile has a large chip in a corner, other small chips on the edges and surface marks.
It measures 8" x 8" square.

The tile comes from the Roger Hensman Tile Collection, and has the number S.77. If you want to know more about this tile you can contact TACS (Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society), give them the reference number, and they can offer more information about it.
