Arts & Crafts Transfer Printed Tile Coat Of Arms by Minton China Works C1875 AE1

This is an astonishing and extremely rare transfer-printed tile made by Mintons China Works around 1875, depicting two united Coats of Arms representing the marriage between two Lord families.

The Arms on the left represent the Powlett family, belonging to the husband William Orde-Powlett, the second Baron Bolton, 1782-1850.
The Arms on the right seem to be a combination of the Carletone family, belonging to the wife Maria Carletone, 1777-1868, and the Powlett family.

The tile measures 6" x 6" x 1.3cm thick.
