Reclaimed Arts & Crafts Fireplace Hand Painted Tile Corn Bros C1900 Framed
This is a stunning, quite rare hand-painted tile depicting a group of kids gathering herbs, made by Corn Bros around 1900 —a very unusual tile design for this company.
The tile comes framed in a lovely, high-quality handmade oak frame with a hanger on the back.
It is in good condition for its age, with slight discolouration, glaze crazing, and surface marks.
The tile alone measures 6" x 6" square, while with the frame it measures 8.5" x 8.5" square.
It comes in the original condition as found and sold as seen.
These tiles, besides their value as rare collectable items, are also viable for use in architecture, such as the restoration of an old fireplace, as a replacement for a wall tile, or simply framed and hung on a wall for decoration.
