Encaustic Tile Heraldic Knight Gothic Revival Minton & Co 6" x 6" Tile

A super-glazed Minton encaustic tile depicts a mounted Norman knight with a shield and sword.

The tile measures 6 inches (15.3cm) square and about 0.5 inches (1.3cm) thick.

It is in near-perfect condition for its age, with very light scratching to the glaze and a tiny chip to the bottom left corner.

The back is free of cement residue and is impressed "Minton and Co, Patent, Stoke Upon Trent 22".

It would be wonderful in a medieval or gothic-themed interior.

It could be used on a wall, fireplace or as a pot stand.
