Hand-painted Japanese Aesthetic Style Tile by Minton Hollins & Co. C1880 AE4

The tile is part of a set of seven tiles we have acquired lately.
These tiles come out of an old hallway coat hanger.
As you can see from the pictures, the tile has some surface scratches, all due to age and usage.
But there aren't any significant chips or cracks in the tile.
The tile has been hand-painted in raised paste gold and silver colours, all on a shiny black background.
We believe that the tile was painted by the Japanese Seiz Saeki, working for Royal Doulton in that period.
Tile measures 6" x 6", (15cm x 15"cm) and about 1.2cm thickness.
