The tile is part of my collection, and there is only one available.
This is a wonderful and beautifully crafted transfer-printed and tinted tile featuring a landscape design of Cow Gate Foot.It comes from the series entitled "British & European Views", designed and painted by LT Swetnam for Minton's China Works around 1890.The tiles from this series are copied directly from the five-volume Victorian topographical book, Picturesque Europe, and were published by Cassell, Petter & Galpin. London c1875.
It is in good condition for its age, with small chips around the edges and surface marks.
It measures 8" x 8" square.
