The tile is part of my collection, and only one is available.
This is a fantastic Victorian embossed majolica tile featuring a floral design in a great colour palette made by Pilkington 1894.Embossed P's in opposite corners registered no—227296, which dates to 1894.
It is in good condition with light crazing in the glaze and surface marks.
It measures 6" x 6" square.
These tiles, besides their value as rare collectable items, are also viable for use in architecture, such as the restoration of an old fireplace, as a replacement for a wall tile, or simply framed and hung on a wall for decoration.
