Reclaimed Antique Fireplace Tile Moulded Majolica Red Floral Rhodes Tile Co 1904
This is a good-looking embossed majolica tile with a unique floral design with red and green colours on a cream background, made by Rhodes Tile Co in 1904.
It has a registration number 435020, which dates to 1904.
The tile has a chip in two corners, as well as small chips on the edges, crazing in the glaze, and surface marks.
It measures 6" x 6" square.
These types of tiles, besides their value as rare collectable items, are also viable for use in architecture, such as the restoration of an old fireplace, placed as a replacement for a tile from the wall, or just framed and hung on a wall for decoration.
