Reclaimed Art Nouveau Fireplace Red Floral Majolica Tile C1905
This is a beautiful embossed majolica tile featuring a floral design copied from New Birch Tile Co, made by an unknown maker, possibly around 1905.
It is in good condition for its age with minor chips around the edges, crazing in the glaze and surface marks.
It measures 6" x 6" square.
These types of tiles, besides their value as rare collectable items, are also viable for use in architecture, such as the restoration of an old fireplace, placed as a replacement for a tile from the wall, or just framed and hung on a wall for decoration.
