Scarce Antique Fireplace Tile Majolica Windmill Gibbons Hinton & Co C1900
This is a very unique and really rare majolica tile I have never seen before, depicting a windmill standing on a hill with red/brown glaze on the sides, made by Gibbons Hinton & Co around 1900.
It is in good condition for its age, with marks from the fireplace they have been removed from, some light crazing and a few chips around the edges and in the corners.
It measures 6" x 6" square.
These types of tiles, besides their value as rare collectable items, are also viable to be used for architecture, like restoration of an old fireplace, placed as a replacement for a tile from the wall, or just framed and hung on a wall for decoration.
