Superb 8" Hand-Painted Aesthetic Japonesque Style Tile by Minton C1880

As you can see from the pictures, the tile has some surface scratches, all due to age and usage.
But there aren't any significant chips or cracks in the tile.
The tile has been hand-painted in a raised paste of gold and probably platinum colours on a black matt background.

We believe the tile was painted by the Japanese Seiz Saeki, who worked for Royal Doulton and Minton in that period.

The tile measures 8" x 8" (20cm x 20cm) and is about 1cm thick.
