Victorian Dutch Border Tile Minton Hollins & Co Small Ship In Full Sail C1870
This is a stunning transfer-printed tile featuring a Dutch border floral design depicting a ship, circa 1870, by Minton Hollins & Co.
This tile is part of the series "Land and Seascapes" created by Minton Hollins & Co and is titled "Small Ship In Full Sail". This series consists of six transferware tiles depicting different landscapes/seascapes.
The tile is in good condition with light surface marks and stains, small chips in the corners and around the edges.
It measures 6" x 6" square.
These tiles, besides their value as rare collectable items, are also viable for use in architecture, such as the restoration of an old fireplace, as a replacement for a wall tile, or simply framed and hung on a wall for decoration.
