This is an extremely rare and amazing transfer-printed and tinted tile depicting a boy walking on a field with a pig.
This tile is part of the "Old English" series which has as theme Months Of The Year, this example is entitled "October".
This series was designed by Helen J A Miles for Josiah Wedgwood around 1878.
