Antique Iraqi Silver and Niello Covered Sugar Bowl
An Iraqi silver and niello sugar basin and cover, circa 1930s.
The basin and cover feature a heavy-gauge design with twin handles and a navette shape. Niello decoration is present in shaped reserves, showcasing dhow sailing boats, palm trees, a caravan of camels, and other Middle Eastern topographical scenes.
The cover is adorned with floral decoration and bordered by a meander scroll, all supported on four ball feet.
It measures about 8cm H x 20cm W x 8.3cm D.

It is in good condition for its age, with visible signs of age and usage (with minor dings and scratches).
It will need a good cleaning.
