Antique Meissen Scattered Florets White Porcelain Gilt Details Teapot
A Meissen porcelain teapot decorated with hand-painted scattered floral sprays and gilt detailing.
The rounded body is decorated with small hand-painted flowers and leaves, while the handle and spout retain gilt highlights. This pattern is commonly known as the scattered florets design and is associated with Meissen's long tradition of floral-decorated porcelain.
The exact date of manufacture is unknown, although it appears to be an early example. The underside bears a Meissen factory mark, as shown in the photographs.
ConditionIt is in good condition for its age, with visible signs of age and use. There are old repairs to the spout and lid, along with a few small chips and nicks around the lid seating area. General surface wear and rubbing to the gilding are present consistent with age. It would benefit from a careful clean. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
