Antique Solid Silver 3 Handled Sander Pounce/Pepper Pot 1909 Birmingham

Antique three-handled solid silver grinder or pepper/pepper pot, marked Birmingham 1909.
This pot typically sprinkled fine sand or rosin (powdered resin) onto freshly written documents to absorb excess ink before blotting paper became common.
This piece, made by silversmith James Deakin & Sons, has three handles, a perforated top, and a footed base.
