Antique Sterling Silver Sovereign Case Sampson Mordan & Co Chester 1900

Antique sterling silver sovereign case by Sampson Mordan & Co Ltd, assayed in Chester in 1900. The case is circular with a spiral-fluted exterior, creating strong visual movement across both sides. It opens via a hinged lid, revealing the internal spring-loaded mechanism that holds and dispenses sovereign coins. The suspension loop is present, allowing the piece to be worn on an Albert chain or chatelaine.
