George III Old Sheffield Plate and Faux Tortoiseshell Pique Snuff Box C1760

This exquisite George III Old Sheffield Plate and Faux Tortoiseshell Piqué Snuff Box dates back to around 1760.
Notably, there is a minor hairline crack present on the upper panel.
Additionally, the silver plate displays notable surface scratches and tarnishing, with intermittent warm copper tones.
The base has an intricate sunburst design carved, possibly on the horn, but I am unsure.
The overall condition is indicative of age-related wear and customary use.

It measures about 2cm x 4.5cm in diameter.

It is in good condition for its age.
It will need a good cleaning.
