George IV Silver Combined Pencil & Pen SAMPSON MORDAN & CO, London 1824
This is an extremely rare and early George IV fully hallmarked silver double-open-ended combined Pen and Pencil.It has a Bramah-type nib holder and a plain cylindrical body with reeded decoration.
Fully hallmarked for Sampson Mordan, London, 1824.Also stamped: MORDAN & Co PATENT (no 'S').The nib holder also stamped: S.MORDAN'S IMPROV'D (only used 1824).Unfortunately, the nib holder is damaged, but I have half of it; someone handy can easily repair it.
