Georgian Solid Silver Spoon Gilded London 1813 by William Chawner II
This is a rare and exquisite double King's pattern silver condiment or sauce spoon.
The spoon is of an exceptionally heavy gauge and in excellent condition, with moderate surface wear appropriate for its age.
The spoon is gilded, but the gilding is worn in places, but it is something you will expect for a 200-year-old item.
We are selling it in the original condition as found, so you can clean it if you like, but we prefer the original patina on this kind of items.
It was hallmarked for London in 1813 by William Chawner II and has an approximate weight of 28 grams.
The spoon measures approximately 12.5 cm long, with a 2.4 cm wide bowl.
It is in very good condition for its age.
It will need a good polishing. It comes in the original conditions as found.
