This lovely hexagonal Persian silver and niello powder compact is available for sale with an intricately detailed filigree lid.
This double-hinged silver case showcases elaborate filigree designs on the lid, complemented by niello decorations both inside and outside.
The interior compartment lid is adorned with niello decorations, while the front of the case features a highly ornate filigree design with a central cartouche embellished with niello decorations.
The back of the case is intricately decorated in niello with a scene and bears additional engraving.
The compact is in superb condition, showing some wear but no visible damage.
It has robust hinges and a secure grip; it has the original mirror but has foxing.

It measures about 7cm across.

It will need a good cleaning.
