Intaglio Wax Seal Fob Depicting 4th century (B.C) Greek Orator Demosthenes C1800
This exquisite piece is an antique Georgian anchor-shaped fob with an Intaglio wax seal that exudes a stunning presence.It is carved in carnelian on a convex field and set in a brass gilded fob seal dating c.1780-90.The fob has lost its gilding due. to the ears, but the intaglio isndition; it will need a good cleaning.
It measures about 3.5cm x 2.5cm x 2.2cm.
It is in good condition for its age.
It comes in the original conditions as found and sold as seen.
