Japanese Satsuma Lidded Box Shimazu Crest Hayakawa Kyoto Meiji period C1868-1912

A mid-19th century Japanese Satsuma round-lidded box with Shimazu crest.

The ceramic bowl has a beautiful multi-coloured flower decor with rich gilt accents.
Also, the interior of the bowl and lid has a simple painting of flowers.

The bowl is in perfect condition, as the lid has two large cracks, one of which has an old repair.

Size.: 4cm x 9.5cm across.
