Late 19th Century 10ct Gold & Carnelian Set intaglio Swivel Ring
The unique ring features a piece of carnelian etched with "Amor" for love, with a posy of flowers pictured above.The reverse side is etched with a dog's image. It was undoubtedly a ring cherished by someone who loved nature and animals.The band features a fluted design that terminates in carnelian.The carnelian moves in a 360-degree motion, allowing the ring to be worn in different configurations.
Metal & Hallmark: 10 karat rose gold. The ring is not hallmarked, though it has tested positive for 10 karat gold.
The Carnelian stone measures 15.89mm x 11.44mm.
