Pair of Dutch Cut Glass Spill Vases with 800 Silver Figural Bands
This is a pair of antique cut glass spill vases fitted with repoussé 800 silver bands, decorated with detailed figural scenes.
Each spill vase features a cut glass body with a star-cut base and deeply faceted sides. The rims are shaped with a flared and serrated edge. The silver bands are worked in relief and depict figures in outdoor scenes, including seated and standing individuals alongside barrels, fencing, and landscape elements. The decoration runs continuously around each piece. The glass inserts appear to be removable from the silver mounts.
ConditionBoth pieces show visible signs of age and usage.
One glass has a large chip to the rim with noticeable loss and rough edges. The other glass has smaller chips and nibbles to the rim. Both show general wear to the cut edges.
The silver mounts have light surface wear, with some tarnish and minor marks.
