Rare Antique Gold and Agate Intaglio Seal Smyth Family Cum Plena Magis
An antique agate intaglio seal with faceted body, gold-colour mounts, and engraved heraldic device and motto.

This seal is formed from a single piece of banded agate with a pale grey-white tone and natural layered pattern. The body is faceted with a shaped waist for handling, terminating in a gold-colour mounted suspension loop.
The base is set with an engraved intaglio depicting a crescent motif above a monogram, with surrounding inscription reading “Cum Plena Magis”. The engraving is cut in reverse for use as a wax seal.
The design suggests a heraldic device with motto and initials, likely relating to a family or personal seal.
