A sterling silver engine-turned vesta case made by Matthew Wilcox & Son, assayed in Birmingham in 1908. Patent-marked example with clean, functional design.
This vesta case is of compact rectangular form with vertical engine-turned decoration and a circular vacant cartouche to the front. The silver is fully hallmarked, with the patent number stamped to the interior. Hinged lid with striker edge, opening and closing as intended.
