This scarce sterling silver inkwell was offered for sale by Sampson Mordan & Co., Chester, from 1898.
This circular box features a bayonet-style cover and has a gilded interior.
There are clear marks on the underside. The lid attaches and detaches securely.
There is no personalised engraving or evidence of erasure.
The item is in fantastic condition for its age but is missing the inner glass.
