Sterling Silver Vesta Case Match Safe Holder by John Henry Wynn 1899

This is a charming and well-made antique solid sterling silver vesta case, dating to the late Victorian period and hallmarked in Chester in 1899.

Of classic rectangular form with softly rounded edges, the case is richly decorated with engraved foliate patterning and features an applied rectangular cartouche engraved with the initials “W H”, adding personal character and period charm. A side suspension ring allows it to be worn on a chain or carried securely.
